Had to read through this a few times, but I think I've got it:
The series is 'Hawaii 5-0'. The character is Detective Kono Kalakaua. Played in the original by Zulu (real name: Gilbert Kauhi ) played in the remake by Grace Park.
The porn star you're looking for is Traci Lords, who took her surname from Jack Lord, who played McGarrett in the original series.
I hope this makes up for my getting Curtis Armstrong's name wrong.

You missed one, the show also had a former REAL 18 year vet cop, who became a character on the show, name the actor and character.
Yes that makes up for it, I like my Boogers on point(and yes I hate it when people say "on point", or "my bad", or "same difference".....) But that is a different thread.

Just realized this one just now watching a repeat just now.
This still famous celebrity had a major change a couple years ago, played a cop on another 1970s cop show. In real life he is part of the family of a famous OJ Simpson's lawyer.
Name the actor, name the cop show. And where are they now and what is their new name. And what famous lawyer are they related to?
