My oldest brother and his friend are staunch Republicans, but they're of the anti-big/intrusive government variety, so they're definitely concerned. In fact, as a lawyer, my oldest brother often fights against townships and police departments on things like wrongful termination, wrongful arrests, etc.
The middle brother (I'm the youngest) is 100% pro-Trump (I know, I know) and likely doesn't see the problem with it (even though he works in sales for an IT security company... sometimes he's not too bright).
Outside of those anecdotal data points it's hard to tell. Sadly, I think a lot of people fall into the "If you have nothing to hide you should have nothing to fear" mentality.
