@ the OP
Not all atheists are angry at religious people or religion. Some are quite apathetic and just don't believe in God and get on with their lives. IMO it is only that the angrier and more militant ones make a lot more "noise" since they tend to "rock the boat" more so you just notice them more They stand out EvF RE: Atheists

But all those things about you are true.
@Godhead: I knew the second I saw this thread that you were setting some sort of trap, by which I mean that you had a calculated plan to do exactly what you are doing. I posted back and forth with you last night with the intention of figuring out what you were up to and thought I had it figured out by the time I stopped. Now that I have read the posts since then, I can see that I was right.
You are using this as a vehicle to get even with 'us atheists' for laughing at your silly belief system. You are being all self-righteous while accusing the rest of us of insecurity, needing validation, using ridicule as a crutch, etc. You are trying to make yourself feel superior to us, by painting us as angry little closed-minded people that are lashing out at theists in order to make ourselves feel better, because we are so insecure about our lack of belief in imaginary friends, and blah, blah, blah. You are so obviously full of shit that I sincerely doubt anyone here is fooled by you. I know I'm not. What you have done is purposely create a thread with the intention of launching personal attacks in the guise of 'calm discussion'. It was not only arrogant and self-righteous of you, but devious and underhanded, as well. You are intentionally baiting people in hopes that they will say something out of anger and/or frustration. It's clear why you completely ignored me, offering no response whatsoever, every single time I accused you of being up to something covert and dishonest. You were. Guess what. This is Atheist Forums. Theists are welcome, but any theist that comes here must be smart enough to realize he/she is walking into the viper's nest and that his/her beliefs are going to be seen in an unfavorable light by most of the members here. If a theist can discuss things reasonably (rationally is too much to ask *bazing!*) and offer thoughtful, honest, and consistent answers to the questions put to him, he is treated with respect for the most part. If, on the other hand, a theist like yourself comes along and makes unconventional and 'totally out there' statements of belief... and then fails to back those beliefs up via reasonable discussion (putting up with a little ridicule along the way, knowing where they are and all), that respect will not be earned. You refuse to take part in any grown-up style discussions about your beliefs beyond simply stating what they are... and every discussion you start is fraught with calculated and covert intentions. You do not want to discuss your beliefs. You just want to stir up the hornets nest. That is known as trolling. I'll give you this much... you are a very patient and subtle troll... but you are a troll.

No, I don't think that you're insecure because of your lack of belief in god. That's not the reason. Perhaps you're accustomed to being ridiculed by theists and I don't know, maybe you feel victimised and always on the defensive. Other atheists here have certainly said as much, and it would explain a lot. Also, I can assure you that your emotions concerning me and what I say and how I say it aren't shared by all. If you claim to speak for everyone, you're obviously incorrect, and if you claim to speak for yourself, that's ok, I believe you, I can see that you feel very strongly. RE: Atheists

*laughs*
You could be more wrong, but it wouldn't be easy. I am convinced that you could pull it off, though. Actually... you do have a few of us on the defensive, which is exactly what you were planning when you posted this thread. As I said, my goal was to determine what your sneaky ass was up to and now I know... so... I am finished with you, Troll. Bugger off.
Paul -
If some of you get on the defensive I can't help that.
Go easy on them Godhead. I'm going to have to look elsewhere for food if you carry on like this!
