At home I make stir fry and basmati rice about once a week. We also eat a lot of masala with chickpeas and Naan bread. Mexican is also totally normal for us. Or even homemade spatzel and red cabbage. I think it is true that a lot of a Americans eat lots of multi cultural foods, though we often put our own spin on them.

Most weeks, I eat ethnic food about half the time; A lot of Filipino, Indian, and Caribbean.
I also really enjoy veggie sushi, veggie tempura, and Mediterranean flavors.
American food is good, too; Especially Southern stuff.

I have "ethnic" food almost 100% of the time for lunch. Thai, Japanese, Mediterranean, middle Eastern, Mexican, or European. Oftentimes for dinner as well.
Occasionally I'll get something "American" - if that means anything - but I prefer variety.

I love Italian food. Kebabs are also a favourite.
Chinese is good.
Can't eat Indian apart from Buttered Chicken.
Can't stand sushi.

Huhu grubs, are eaten occasionally, mostly at festivals.
The weirdest thing Kiwis do is put beetroot on burgers!

You know what traumatises me?
Those show on telly where they're walking through seedy Asian food lanes and they've got defanged spiders and scorpions on skewers! I still haven't got over it.
I saw a little Asian kid with a million big arse spiders (defanged) walking all over him and he's having a ball!
I am definitely a first world spoilt man if that's how the rest of the world eat!
