The freedom of religion is not meant to protect people committing criminal negligence, or people who want to suck baby dicks for that matter. Good grief. What is with some of these people, and choosing their god over their children?

New idea. If you want to deny your child the right to medical treatment, you must first take a bullet to the brain and survive. Once you have sufficiently proven that your God will let things all work out the way they're supposed to, you may deny your children the right to medical treatment.
Well, being steely, steely cold about it, having her out as a spokesman for how fucked up her religion is (and the rest with similar folderol) serves our purposes as almost nothing else does.

This sort of story always angers me because my mother was a victim of such beliefs. Yes, even here in the UK, where our religious sects have been properly housebroken, there arises occasional lunacy. In my mother's case it was Roman Catholicism; she preferred to treat her multiple sclerosis with faith and not only did it kill her but her last years were clouded by the 'knowledge' that she must have been a terrible sinner for god to visit such suffering on her.
I hope this girl gets some justice. [edit] Fuck you, scooby. Only you could be enough of a prick to try and equivocate child abuse with a woman's right to bodily autonomy.
