I thought the analogy they made about the potential for interbreeding among the various early hominid "species" was magnificent. Streams flowing into a river. Brilliant but it also vastly complicates the search.

I think I may have seen this when it first came out. Normal sized male anthropologist seeks ultra thin female students to enter the cave where the fossils await. Watching it again now.
