Music caching for Android

I have to strongly disagree with 4).  I store mp3 files on my own personal media server, the client allows me to stream or cache them according to my needs.  I can't store even a fraction of my music on my phone, but I can swap in and out whatever I feel like listening to without having to be on the same continent of my Windows computer.

Heh.  Maybe I misunderstood OP.  Seeing the word "Apple" makes me instantly blood-raged.  I thought it was an "I'm an Apple user, and I don't know what a file system is" posts.

I'm not a big fan of Apple either, but the fact is, a huge percentage of Windows users probably are only vaguely aware of what a file system is.

I prefer a music caching app over connecting to the computer because I want to be able to add songs wherever I am not just from the computer.

I'm honestly not even sure what 'music caching' is.
I copy all my music to a Google Play account. Then I can listen "live" when I have a connection, or download what I want to my Kindle for times when I won't be connected.

Nah I found a simple and great solution.  I downloaded BlackPlayer and to get the music and be able to play it offline with high quality I just got a great youtube downloader and when I music the BlackPlayer quickly recognizes it and I can play it. Also it has some nice bonuses, if you add an artist name to your music it recognizes the artist and finds information, I manually added Zhu to the artist name and it put up a bio about Zhu, such wow
