Interesting, marriage these days is all about sex, but if you believe that you won't fit in. Odd state of affairs, that.

The more I think about, the more most marriages these days seem to resemble a Porn movie.

I say this because most married people seem to have sex for the "fun of it" and not recognizing that it is indeed a sacred enterprise, not something like playing monopoly or a football game.

There's a lot that's very right, for most people, about pursuing a fulfilling sex life, in or out of lasting/committed relationships, absent of the 'goal' of procreation but it depends on the people involved. If you don't see the value in it, so be it. Not everyone has a strong sex-drive. You need to realise though that you may well think that because of religious indoctrination; secretly you could be doing yourself serious psychological harm by not expressing your sexuality.

The function of it is to bear children, and so many people don't have the child bearing part of it in mind.

Mainly untrue. The reason why condoms exist is because people are very aware that sex can result in children!

It's just gross, selfish self fulfillment, no appreciation for the creative act. The attitude, even toward sex within marriage these days, is one of having their cake and eating it too.

Nope, for those who seek it, it's to have a deeper, physical and emotional intimacy with the person they love. Good sex enhances relationships.

Why is it, even in society that the essential baby-making part of sex is downplayed  to the hedonistic side of it (even within "sacred' marriages?)

I'd suggest that's not true. Instead you're falling for a misrepresentation, created by those who have a vested interest in making good sex seem bad/dirty/sinful for their own gain.
