In Georgia, shared custody is mandatory unless there are significant reasons to do otherwise. My exhusband wasn't just severely abusive (physically, sexually, and emotionally), he also stabbed me in the stomach during my last pregnancy. Still when I went to the final hearing on my divorce, to find out the decision on custody...I requested full custody of course, the judge said "well you're lucky he didn't show up today, otherwise it'd have likely been 50/50"

And yet there exists as a men's rights movement. As a Georgian myself, I'm comfortable saying that judge was fucking crazy.

Nobody actually gave him 50-50 custody, I doubt the exact words of the judge were that if the husband were there he'd have been given 50-50 custody, even if it were if the person Losty claimed to have stabbed her were present, she could've easily showed that he attempted murder and get the kid.
This didn't actually happen, guy didn't even show up. If he did, Losty showed he has attempted murder and the judge still gave 50-50 custody then all this enrage would make sense.

I was about 8 months pregnant. It wasn't a deep wound, there were no police reports but there was a witness (the guy who pulled him off of me).
