I await for the inevitable counter movement towards a worse, unhealthy society.
I just don't know where it will strike.

Gay People Can Now Marry In California

Finally, some progress away from Christian ideals in the U.S. But guess what.........The ignorant republicans have decided that this is the worst thing to happen since African Americans were allowed to vote for the same BS reasons as always: It's bad for the NORMAL family, God is against it etc... Only one problem, those are lies. It's all just HATE HATE HATE HATE. Republicans hear me out, take your ignorance and go somewhere else, perhaps Aruba. Please?
Why do we still let religion govern us, I thought this was a secular nation.[/size]

The thing that is most disturbing to me about Wendy Wright is that she and people like her think that things like truth, science, morality, and civil freedoms are democratic processes where the truth of a statement or a fact is directly proportional to how many people believe it to be true. This seems to be some sort of conservative and religious philosophy that I don't completely understand.
By the by, that Onion newscast was the best thing ever and I have to give props to Chris Mathews for being awesome.
