As a volunteer homeless advocate, I love hearing when people are successful at getting into real housing.

We had a panic in Mexico City. After deplaning, my 16 year old could not find his passport. Our flight was scheduled to leave in 20 minutes. We tore through his luggage and after satusfying ourselves that he didn't have it, it had to be on the aircraft as he had to have it when we got on it in the first place.

He was able to get some helpful Aeromexico crew search the aircraft and return it to him with minutes to spare. Fortunately our boarding was delayed anyhow.

Kid had a good lesson - your passport is the only thing you must absolutely hold on to while you're traveling. I also learned a lesson - make the little shit show me his passport before he deplanes.

CIJS,

A couple of days ago, my store had a visit from the Senior Vice President of our company.  Prior to this visit, all of our associates busted their rear ends preparing for it: some of them were called in solely for the purpose of straightening while others focused on ensuring that the sales floor was set to standards.  Overall, the visit went very well: the SVP remarked that the associates were performing their job functions in an exceptional manner and that the store was very neat and organized.

That said, today I was the manager on duty, and I decided to buy the entire store pizza for their efforts: I wanted them to know that their hard work is appreciated and that I care; IMO, if workers feel that their leaders care about them, then that will help motivate them to care about their jobs, which will ultimately benefit the store and the organization.

Well, I'm not sure if the associates got my intended message; however, regardless of what they may think of my actions today, I hope they realize that their efforts did not go unnoticed and that their actions as a team are valued and appreciated by me.  KS out.

If you tell them it's a reward for their efforts they'll understand the message.

Thanks. I stated that to them in the morning rally/meeting.  I also stated this to people who came during the later shifts and asked me why I got pizza for them.

Sounds like you got them the message. Hope it sank in. For some it won't.

You're so in love with your own voice to hear the truth don't you?
It's the gift of silver tongue. The mark of a good liar.

Watch the marks. They tell a lot. If you learned to read them right; you will forget how to talk right if you remain silent, but you will win the lifelong double edged blade of listening, so you wake up to listen, sleep so you don't listen.

Liar. Rot in the nearest trash can you fuckin liar. Silver tongue ain't an honor to wear but to fools.
Speech after speech, repeat and rewind, let them hang your pictures on buses and wage paid propaganda campaigns in your name, let your hypocrite allies beat the drums in the honor of your lies.

So odd question, but do you work in the paint/coatings industry? We just went through this in my company around the same time.

CIJS?
(Trying to keep my cool) Nice to meet you.

(In my head) You are the coolest person in this city and I can’t explain how thrilled I am in meeting you. Well, again. Last time I just introduced myself and walked away, because I find you very intimidating. Last time you were at my event and I was just so nervous and wanted to impress you. Now at your event, damn! It’s so cool that you introduced me the way you did, and want us to work together and that you want me to collaborate with you in your next projects. I’m just thrilled! You’re such a beautiful person and I feel so humbled and honored and well, like a fan that gets to work with the person she admires. And you sing amazing. I knew you were talented, but I didn’t know you could sing. Anywho... I think we’ll be great friends, too.

(Out loud) So, yeah, we’ll talk soon and... again, it was so nice to see you. Bye! (Whoa! A hug. Ok. Heh. Right back at ya) ahem. Ok. Bye. Smile
