What I think is a shame is that staff have had to defend themselves, period. From what I have seen in this thread, I sense a person who feels entitled to continue complaining because a majority of people don't agree with said person's viewpoint. Instead of saying " well, we will just have to agree to disagree" and leaving it at that - insults and accusations come about as a result of the continued disagreement. Throw in some sarcasm that is clearly missed due to lack of tone and inflection in a written post, and you have nothing short of elementary school bullshit because people just can't leave well enough alone.

Personally, it's just my opinion (worthless as it may be), but, it is now impossible for this thread to continue having any meaning for which it was originally intended. I wish the thread would just die already. And sure, I can ignore it, like I have already done so for the most part, but when I see good people bickering like immature school kids, it makes me feel stressed out. This is a community of people who I consider to be not only friends, but family and yall are acting far from that.

On that note - I wish all of those involved, a much happier day and hope we can just move on and put this shit behind us.

Maybe you could get to the crux of her point, which is that leaning on the low bar of what the law defines as pornography is weaksauce. I've got nothing but love for all involved, but geez, if female nipples are verboten, shouldn't male nips be too? Law be damned, she's speaking to principle. Why is that so difficult?

I'm absolutely glad to agree to disagree with you here. I don't agree that this topic is important when it comes to equal rights for women on this forum. If you think it is, I respect your right to feel that way. And I respect your decision to not post your exposed chest. I will not post mine too.

But you're looking at this as if you know everything and you don't. You can think me childish if you want. I don't think you would like it if someone accused you of being involved in a conspiracy to close their thread, especially if said conspiracy involved posting child pornography.

I was perfectly happy in this thread being silly, maybe but not mean or rude (I don't think) until that accusation was made.

For the record, I would never ever use any method to try to get a thread closed accept for the appropriate method for when a thread violates rules. More importantly, I would never ever instigate or condone the posting of child pornography on this board or elsewhere ever. If I'm being overly sensitive for finding that accusation to be incredibly offensive then so be it. But I take it very seriously, as I well should considering the criminal nature of child pornography.

This is a substantially different tone than you took in PM yesterday, which is a large part of why the staff is miffed. Not to mention the accusations you leveled at staff, which were incredibly insulting.

You have the right to your opinion. My opinion was that it wasn't on so, impass. I would think mods to be more detached but I see I'm judging others by my own pov. As for the accusation interpretation lets be clear, my stament was posted in a private pm, if you choose to make that public that's on you.

There's no trust here. Yours mods didn't dtatched themselves from the issues. Instead they jumped in with both feet. Then circumstances just happened to shut down a thread they were expressing their disapproval and animosity in. Can you not comprehend my suspicion.

How exactly is that fair or reasonable? I just want to understand the process of where you drew the line between not knowing what happened and assuming it (whatever it was) was the fault of the volunteer staff who run this place part time and have a million other things to do as well but on here and in RL?

Just to clarify to everyone, we do not lock threads unless they break the rules. I can't remember ever having locked a thread for any other reason. Probably because I never have.

Oh, come now, you're being fucking disingenuous. When you were told the post in question contained child pornography - you persisted with your conspiracy theory that "someone" conspired to post CP in order to get the thread closed. It also wasn't the only accusation levied towards the staff.

You aren't innocent in this, and pretending that you are is only digging a deeper hole for yourself.

What is your problem Heatheness? From the moment you started this thread, I sensed your intentions were to cause problems. Seriously, grow up and stop making accusations against staff here. You know nothing about what they do or how much time they put in on a volunteer basis. You're relatively new here and perhaps many here cut you some slack because of your newness, but seriously, stop with all this shit.

You are not required to attend every argument you're invited to. Learn when to step back, breathe and move the hell on.
