Yank doesn't work either... the whole southern population would be in an uproar. The American Civil War was Yankee Vs Confederate and even over 150 years later a southerner would blow a gasket if called a yankee. When we get irritated at northerners our go to insult is 'the damn yankee'. I'm just very very particular when it comes to names. People should be addressed how they wish to be and that is important to me.

Fair enough. Henceforth, I wish to be called 'King Of The Potato People.' You may address me as 'Your Royal Spudliness'.

Belgians (Belgium is  what you call the country, not it's inhabitants) ARE Europeans and Indonesians ARE Asian, dipsh*t... If I'm talking about Belgians, Germans and Dutch - I may choose the word "Europeans". if I don't need to be more specific. Same with different nations living on the continent called "America".
