I don't see why it shouldn't be perceived negatively, or considered wrong, when someone can't control their emotional outbursts, especially when communicating through a message board, where one can take all the time one needs to formulate a coherent and considered point.
It sounds like the same excuse alcoholics, or junkies use, when they wish to be absolved of responsibility for what they say and do while inebriated.
