As have I, and it was truly a pivotal moment in my life. It's one thing to learn about it in history class, it's another matter entirely to stand in the middle of Auschwitz-Birkenau and take in the true enormity of one part of the Nazi death engine surrounding you.
I cannot for a moment truly grasp what it must've been like to actually live through it. Few things fill me with cold rage like people who try and deny the whole thing ever happened.

The most striking thing to me was how...nice Auschwitz I looked.  I was so used to seeing the prefab stables, muddy ground, endless rows of barbed wire and chimneys...and then you get to Auschwitz I and it's cobbled/paved streets and multi-story red brick buildings.  It made it even more devastating that in a place that looked (compared to Auschwitz II) so "normal," that such atrocities were committed. It looked almost like its own little town, albeit with barbed wire and guard towers.

It's a conspiracy theory - ideologically motivated circular thinking, based on conjecture. Any evidence - or lack thereof - can be dismissed as a deception created by the all-powerful, secret cabal. Similarly - lack of evidence for the existence of any conspiracy can be perceived as "evidence" of conspiracy cover-up. Anybody, who presents the official version of history is either a part of the evil plot, or an ignorant "sheep", that conspiracy theory proponent can sneer at.

The f*ckwits have all sorts of explanations for the existence of the death camps, gas chambers, witnesses and other evidence - they've been working on this sickening bullsh*t for decades.

Nothing too solid - just thousands upon thousands of eyewitness accounts, millions of photographs, testimonies from some of the top Nazi brass admitting (quite proudly) to the attempted systematic slaughter of the Jews alongside many other races deemed to be subhuman, tons upon tons of detailed documentation.

Then there's the fact that any conspiracy as massive as this one would require the flawless and never-ending coordination between god knows how many millions of people working tirelessly to keep the engine of such remarkable deception going, in a world where we can't even keep the fact that the POTUS got a cheeky blowie in the Oval Office back in the 90's a secret.

Before you continue insulting the memory of the 11 million people who died during some of the darkest hours in the history of humankind, you should do a little further reading.

It wasn't just fucking Jews that were slaughtered  LGBT people and disabled people were victims too. But they're obviously not races. Neither are Jews come to think of it. I am sick and fucking tired of Jews being made out to be the only victim.

Oh, I'm sure all my relatives never returning from Auschwitz just went on vacation there and drowned in the swimming pool. I'm also sure, all the Holocaust survivors were lying, as were Höss, Eichmann, Ohlendorf, Stangl and too many witnesses to take account.

There are. LGBT people got the honors only quite recently, as you can imagine. Given that they are only accepted by society at large for a pretty short period of time. Same goes for Sinti and Roma, by the way.

You don't mention many other minorities, who were held and killed in the camps - like Gypsies, Jehova's Witnesses, people who had remote Jewish ancestry, Slavs and Germans, caught sheltering Jews, political prisoners and more. Not too keen on memorials for Gypos and Polacks, I take it?
