There are plenty of sane politicians in the US.  It's just that when you get to a high position of influence/leadership your words have to be picked to pander/protect/win the votes of your constituents, which often means you say crazy shit.  Literally every country has their insane high-ranking politicians (I'm looking at you, UK).  Of course, there's always the chance that you're just crazy in the first place (Newt), but there are tons of politicians who aren't.

What politicians are you referring to? Boris?

Well, he's the one that comes to mind first, sure.  My point is that every country has politicians that people call 'crazy,' and it's not a uniquely American thing, although we do have more than our fair share mostly due (I would wager) to our religiosity.

I actually quite like Boris. What's so crazy about him? So far, he's been absolutely correct in most things he has said. And his jab at Hilary by saying she looks like a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital was fucking classic.
