One of the most important things either side can do during any coup is to claim their own side had already gained near total control as soon as one gains control of some form of media, regardless of whether that is fact or fantasy.
This reassures diehards, encourages fence sitters who were leaning towards one's own side, and create doubt and confusion amongst the other side. So I would wait until something more definite before judging whether the coup had succeeded. 
Do you guys think the coup will succeed?
If the whole military is indeed behind this, it should succeed.
If it's just some minor military group, then...
