apocalypse tomorrow!

According to a constructional engineer and(so called) astrologist Fuat Arman, 13.08.2010 is the apocalypse time. (by the way its friday the 13th.) His claim is based on quran and mayan prophecies.(WTF) If this fella is right we all have one day to live. So, have fun!
Now some will say that there is no messiah.. I guess José Luis de Jesús Miranda will have to do..

Wow. The credibility of this statement is lost as soon as I reach the word "astrologist". Not even completely through the first sentence.
In any case, ho hum... another day, another kookie apocalypse theory.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925

You didn't happen to catch the exact time of day did you, you should check you surely would not want to be napping when it happens.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

And Godschild, I admire your ability to mock with someone elses beliefs which is actually similar to your beliefs..

God will of course accomidate the various time zones by wiping out the surface of the planet longitude point by longitude point as the planet rotates so the worldwide time of death is exactly the same.

But longitude does not always correlate to time zones? What then?!??!?

Hang on, I'll sprinkle some blood of a chicken tonight and the threat will be cleared.
For a while at least.
After all, we can't let an animated midget porn box set go to waste can we?
Best regards,

You know, whenever these "end of the world" things come up, I always get a bit nervous. I know it's dumb, and the world won't end, but still...
Trudging through endless religion one step at a time.
