A new Apocalypse To Make Fatalist Christians Look Up...

Biblical Drought Turns Texas Lake Blood-Red
Fueled by hundreds of billions of tons of greenhouse pollution, much of it produced from the oilfields of Texas, a drought and heat wave of biblical proportions is devastating the state. The drought “has left the OC Fisher Reservoir in San Angelo State Park in West Texas almost entirely dry. The water that is left is stagnant, full of dead fish — and a deep, opaque red.” The “bloody look” is the result of Chromatiaceae bacteria, which thrive in oxygen-deprived water. “It’s just heartbreaking,” Charles Cruz, a fish and wildlife technician with Texas Parks and Wildlife in San Angelo, told LiveScience.com.
Dear Governor Perry,
Pray harder!
The "loving god" likes his sheep thirsty. You gotta change that by begging him to show compassion and stop it!

Perhaps legal action against those who prayed for this? They have, after all, infringed upon the livelihoods of private enterprise built around sport fishing, at the very least. There is a direct chain of causality here. Had these people not prayed for the apocalypse, then this body of water would not have been "turned to blood". I see a very clear sort of culpability here. They could perhaps plea as accomplices, but it would be an issue of reducing the damages we would argue that they are responsible for, not absolving themselves of those responsibilities.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Someone should contact American Atheists and see if they're up for suing in Texas.
Think of the revenue loss in sports fishing, think of the number of people who could have killed themselves thinking they'd beat the rapture to the jumping off point, think of the breach of promise, think of the surprised white fish now whining as they gurgle; "I'm red! I'm fucking red! Oh this sucks, because now I clash with the dirt in this place and why am I suffocating? Oh that's right, I'm aquanostic!"

Nope, they are to busy shoving a cross up their ass in New York to notice the shit that's happening in Texas...

I don't know how they could miss out on the opportunity, considering the "Free Thought Convention" that occurred there not long ago. And AA has offices in Texas, so bloody apocalyptic water should be hard to miss.
(LINK)
Maybe they're just focused on mythic symbolism now, rather than the tenor of ministering in the name of the religions they think have no place going public, so that it's easy to dismiss Theists claiming blood water is a sign of the end times, when if there suddenly appeared a barbwire cross rising from the middle of that wet spot they'd be all over it in court.
Damn it! We need symbols! Someone put a halo around a newly made red fish in that thar pond! Snap a cell pic and forward to AA's email. Quick! Hurry! New Yorkers need a break.

Are you implying that prayer had anything to do with it....?

Absolutely. Those who advocate for prayer and it's effectiveness should be held liable for those effects, or admit that prayer has no such effect. Praying for murder should also be some degree of legal murder, if they wish to assert cause and effect in any other case, with regards to prayer. Let those counties that wish prayer to be fact make it law, then prosecute prayer criminals.
