The guy above me trying to say that there hasn't been an increase in incidents when there really has been, across england at the very least

Not gonna lie, 57% is definitely an increase...

Ties in with many parts of Europe. Racist/extreme rightwing attacks have increased by something like 250 percent during the last year alone where I live. They feel encouraged by what the rightwing parties are spewing and raise their turd heads without fearing the light anymore. As I said, if you preach the gospel of some people being inferior or dangerous, you will reap the fallout. There are many people jumping at the chance of finally releasing their inner asshole.

Yup. Racism is everywhere. Against some genuinely great people, who've done enough for us over the years.

Yes, even Matthew Kelly is being labelled a racist for this statement he made to a Japanese chef:

Quote:I always associate Japanese cooking with very clean food… in fact, I’d say if there was a choice between any restaurant, I’d always go to the Japanese.”

It is a bit like a Chinese television presenter who welcomes a white male chef to cook on his show, and then putting his foot in it by talking about fish, chips and mushy peas when the chef is actually going to create a typical Indian meal because that is his speciality.

Unfortunately, the extreme liberal left taking it to the extreme and crying racism in every opportunity, and totally forgetting the real definition of the word "Racism", and lets the real perpetrators off the hook.

LOL...  Pray tell - what is the "real definition" of this capitalized "Racism"? Unless you mean regular, plain old "racism", the definition of which seems to perfectly align with what Mr. Kelly said.

racism
ˈreɪsɪz(ə)m/
noun

  1. the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

You see - "racism" means attributing stereotypical characteristics to a whole group of people, based on their ethnicity. It does not necessarily mean saying something "mean" about them, or wanting to place them in concentration camps. Whether or not such small displays of small-mindedness as the one you described are worthy of making a fuss about - that's up for debate. But it still IS racism and I don't see how your "real definition"  changes that.

So, by definition, an Aussie could call me a "pommy", and that would be considered racist? Or indeed French people as "frogs", or why not the word "limey", for the English. If that is the case, then everyone is racist.

Nope. That's just something racists tell themselves.

You didn't respond to the rest of my post, or do they call it quote mining?. If an Australian called me a "pommy", would he or she then be called a racist? If you answer no, then you are clearly cherry-picking what are pejorative and what are clearly acceptable according to your own standards.

And you didn't provide "the real definition of Racism", I asked for. Why should I treat you or anything you say seriously?

I think we will go around and around in circles to be honest. I suppose racism can be defined in a way that we take a white man who will not let his daughter marry a black man as an example. There maybe reasons for this, but we would have to call it "racist." We can turn the tables and say that a black father will not let his daughter marry a white man, so this too is racist. Or we could change the black and white, to white and Japanese, or Japanese and white, or Chinese and black, whichever way you look at it, it is still racist, and it should not be confused with behaviour-based judgement which can make people hate simply because of behaviour, and not the colour of skin. And now, do you have a response to my question.
