Has there been a time that any staff have been to: 1. invested in the thread topic or; 2. emotionally invested (pos or neg) with the poster that they have removed themselves from the issue to maintain neutrality?

It is done because 1: People fail to realize the staff members are just like normal members, that can participate in discussions. 2. People find staff members opinions authoritative and 3. Better avoid further confrontation as it will denigrate the whole staff team.
