There are some very good ethics in the bible. Unfortunately, it also contains as many bad ethics, maybe more than good, along with some unbelievable woo. I think that after 2000++++ years that it could use a serious rewrite, but there is the rub. It's considered the word of god. How do you rewrite a god? Maybe it should be seen for what it is, words written by man that can be subject to change. No wonder it contains many faults.
Organized religion could use an over haul also, but I'm not up to taking that on.
