It's like it was fucking made in china or some shit! Imagine "Scarface" but without swearing, and that's what Breaking Bad is.
Real art is accomplished without swearing, well, allow me to edit this.
A visual art piece that can be created without swearing in it and still be popular is amazing.
After all, artists swear all the time attempting to create their pieces.
Part of it's because, despite AMC not being totally beholden to the FCC's censorship rules, they still have to appease advertisers who might think, "you know, we were all for this show when it was showing a guy beating the shit out of another guy for agreeing with him, but this use of the F-word just crosses a line."
Also, another point is that, well, if used sparingly, the rare occasions where certain words are used just have more power. For instance, I recently started watching BoJack Horseman. I discovered that, for reasons not entirely spelled out, the creators have a policy of only using the word "Fuck" once per season. And they use it in contexts where they really leave an impact:

Season 1 has BoJack's old friend and mentor revealing how little he's come to care after BoJack's interference decades ago ruined his life. Season 2 has a former friend of his walking in on him coming close to having sex with their teenaged daughter and threatening him if he has any more involvement in her life. And in Season 3, the layabout he lives with, finally gives him a blistering Reason You Suck Speech about all the many problems he's revealed in the past three seasons and how they're all on him.
And, for the inverse of this, here's Dustin Hoffman in character as Lenny Bruce in a movie that seriously needs to be put back in print (Warner Archive? Criterion? Anyone?)
