I posted another instrumental up sometime ago and everyone including myself agreed it sounded like the 3 doors down song and a Michael Jackson song.
That was a different instrumental though.
Unless you're saying that you think this also sounds like a 3 doors down song in which case id just have to disagree.
It does, to me. The song "Kryptonite" uses what is essentially the same progression. Your song goes to the V minor, while the 3DD song uses the VII; but those chords are enharmonic and serve the same function musically. The groove is essentially the same, with yours being a little busier but in the same meter.
It's a similarity, not a rip-off, and I stand by my comment.
