RE: How many of us have tattoos?

I just got my first one this week. It's on the inside of my left wrist. It's a stylized in the version of a Japanese crest. It's the flower of freethought, so I remember to always look critically at the world. I also am considering the script red A, but I figure I should wait a bit and think about how visible I want these to be. The one in my wrist is obscure enough that it just looks like a pretty flower, and I can hide it if I want to. A script red A is slightly less obscure, and is definitely "branding" myself as an atheist.

It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends -
It gives a lovely light.

I have the Kanji symbol for demon/devil
It only occurs to me now how ironic that is. I got it more for look than what it says

Not yet, but I will!
I know of three right now:
1. a rose in memory of my grandmother on my right ankle. She was always in her garden, LOVED flowers...and I like roses. The stem will say her maiden name: Hamilton. in cool letters.
2. A mermaid on my back. Yes. A mermaid. I love mermaids. I always have. The first time I saw "The Little Mermaid" when I was little I was so jealous. I wanted to be a mermaid! lol. I watched that movie almost everyday. My cousin is drawing it for me. She draws beautifully. Purple fin (my favorite color) and black hair.
3. A quote on my feet. I want it to be the quote in my signature, but I'm afraid that's too long. I do want it to be an atheist quote. short and sweet.
Any suggestions?

Nope!
Any possible tattoo would look absolutely ridiculous on me!
They are definitely for some people and not for others!

Singapore ,New Year's Eve,1969.
My regret began Jan 1 1970 and has never left.
Fortunately fort for me,it's high on my right arm,so I can wear T shirts. Very few people know I have it.
Why do I hate it?
It's crude and utterly without merit of any kind.
The subject matter is boring
The colours have faded.
I've always liked the Japanese tattoos made famous by the Yakuza and really like some of the Celtic designs around these days.
However, I have no plans to get another. To this day I have the prejudice that's there's something "a bit off " with people who have lot of tattoos,or any on their neck, face or hands.
