Incredible to read about this. A man from Brighton apparently went berserk and knifed his girlfriend over 100 times with an 8-inch knife. She suffered two punctured lungs and had to have roughly 500 stitches. All that because she didn't want to be a slave to him. He should have known that slavery was outlawed years ago. Anyway, I cannot help thinking that 20 years is not enough, considering British gangsters have done less yet received life. It is about time that the Prison system in the UK adopted the American system where either life means life, or indeed a good dose of electricity. To call him an animal would do a disservice to other animals.

If this did happen, I agree. That animal should be killed. But that's an emotional response. I'm not sure I'm ok with the capital punishment because there are different cases out there and innocent people get convicted all the time.

So, there you go, it really did happen. As for the "two years to find him", they probably had him in custody for two years until the trial which should have been open and shut.

Perhaps it was just irony, but your question still stands. I do not find it in the least bit funny. Some guy treats his girlfriend like a slave and he stabs her because she said no. That is one fucked up individual.

In fact, there is a great deal of difference in asking for a glass of water:

If he had asked:

"Would you kindly get me a glass of water please." He might of got one.

However, something suggests to me that he asked something like this:

"Yo, get me a glass of water now!!!" In that case, she was right not to get one.

Just goes to show that manners don't cost anything, your "please", "thank you", etc. Obviously he came from a family that don't have manners. I've seen it for myself in Paris, where I would ask nicely for a coffee in the morning and end with please. Others just go "coffee." It doesn't cost fuck all to say please.
