Trump was a total moron saying "I have the right temperament". If I were the DNC I would put adds out using clips of him saying that, then an insult, that line again, then shouting, then that line again, then end it with him making fun of the disabled reporter, with the line "Is this the person you want controlling the nukes?"

Who is watching tonight's "deabate".

Trump did well having to debate the moderator and Hillary.
Trump was being asked about a lot of the scandals he's been through and then asked to go into further detail with each question. Hillary could just give vague answers and pretty much went through the whole thing without any difficult questions. But that's what everyone expected anyway. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. He didn't answer any of the tough questions, and she got plenty of them. She was asked about the emails and NAFTA, both of which have been hairy subjects for her. The first she handled well. The second she fibbed about. He's just not very good at debating. He's self-centered, gets flustered easily, has a hard time staying on topic and willingly lies repeatedly. It's not like she never tells a lie, but he does it so much and so freely it's like he knows he won't lose votes from the dyed-in-the-wool Republicans, so he just doesn't care. Trump did fucking terrible from any objective standpoint.
If you're a Trump supporter, you're probably going to think he did well. Gee, can't imagine why. But he fell into Hillary's trap over taxes, and continuously lied about what he's said. He looked about as Presidential as a rock. You know how you can tell he lost? Because the Republicunts are complaining about the moderator--who interrupted Hillary almost as often than Trump, despite Trump going off subject and interrupting Hillary at a staggeringly higher rate than Hillary interrupted him. Of course those stupid fuckers also think Trickle Down economics work great, and that God personally anointed Trump to be the next POTUS. Fuck, he admitted he didn't pay someone for the work they did. Yeah, that's totally not going to be used in Hillary's next campaign ad. RE: Who is watching tonight's "deabate".

I guess we'll know for sure when we see which way the polls jump. Probably won't make more than a 2 or 3% difference, but 2 or 3% can swing an election.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I'd rather see the moderator control shock collars on the candidates. He/she can use the button every time a fact checker calls BS into his earpiece. Then again, watching two senior citizens flailing around on the ground in seizures might not be the image of the American political system we want to convey to the rest of the world. But it would make for fun TV. As for Trump's performance, he pretty much confirmed what I already suspected: he has the discipline and attention span of a child. For days and days, every talking head said the same thing. "Trump needs to prove to the public that he has the gravitas to be 'Presidential'". Shit, nothing about substance and actual nuts-and-bolts policy proposals. Just look the part and he "wins" the debate. All he had to do was to keep it together for ninety minutes, but he only made it about twenty minutes before he began mugging and making faces, getting sidetracked at every turn to defend his ego and brand, and lie again and again. It was pathetic, in a delicious kind of way. (September 27, 2016 at 10:57 am)Crossless1 Wrote:Trump yes, but don't try to tell me Hillary was even close to his "temperament". It wasn't close, as my additional remarks should make clear.
CNN reports the post debate poll giving Hillary a 62-27 advantage over the orange baboon.
Math tells me that 11% of viewers thus didn't know what they were watching! 'Murrica. |
