Up?

RE: Up?
And it looks like I'll have to revise my 4d navigation. In 3d, "up" is against the single directional flow of gravity....so "up" in 4d is against the single directional flow of time. "Up" is backwards in time.

Who says old dogs can't teach themselves new tricks?

3d = space and stuff
4d = change/motion of stuff through space
5d = enough order stacked into stuff to make it self motive/self conveying through space-time aka "life".

I suppose a 6th degree of freedom or dimension on ordered stuff, stacked through time would be self consciousness, "I am a me."

RE: Up?
To be true to experience though, one of my favorite things to do when I practiced regular lucid dreaming was to fall through the earth.

I would get out of body, go out and "trust fall" backwards right through the surface of the ground. I would invert, falling head first through darkness that passed through my body like a steady breeze. After a while I opened my eyes and passing me were millions of stars, then galaxies, then clouds of galaxies, like I was falling backward in time and upwards in scale, as I fell faster towards a glowing central cloud.

It took me several tries to get through that spherical cloud and accustomed to the blinding light within from a central radiant core. When I did, the core "tesselated" and became the word "GENESIS", in 3d letters which rotated in space as a whole word. When the "S" was pointed straight at me, another "GENESIS" tessellated off the original by the"E's". It just kept growing in jump-step iterations like a spherical crossword puzzled made of only one word.

One of the times I've felt closest to God and the secrets of creation was by going down, falling effortlessly all the way down to the central core and beginning of time.

People who lived in, say 1350, who looked up at night and saw a comet or other things not readily explained tended to attribute it to supernatural or otherworldly causes. So I suppose it follows that these stories about things "up there" were just passed down to the believers today.

 Arkilogue,  you are one of those people that has no problem habitually over loading other peoples threads with your nonsense. "Oh boy, someone said  the word gravity! Time for me to display my hugely ignorant mind in as many words as possible!" The constant banging of your pseudo-mystical pseudo-quantum wooji booji drum set is old already. Stop it already, you"re annoying and ignorant. Unless it is your goal to be annoying and ignorant. In that case. Good job!

Is that the time you fell out of a tree?

You asked for a theist to explain "up" in relation to God, and I gave you a comprehensive and exploratory one... but I can see you only wanted an answer to mock and ridicule. Have fun!

Right! When people believed the earth was fixed in space with the sun revolving around the earth. When people believed the stars were "hung" in the sky. Then "up" made sense because the universe was like a multi-storied house with hell in the basement.
