A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"

You are speaking up. Who is suppressing that?

"If you don't like it, speak up" is precisely the culture we are fostering, IMO.

Lol I just realized that there is already four teletubbies.

But then I thought "Fuck it, Tinky Winky doesn't count. He's a cunt for no reason at all."

No one is suppressing me, of course, and I'm not laying that charge at Staff's feet. I was simply replying to Brewer's "bitchers ought to leave" thing.

And I'll reiterate the point: inviting people to leave if they don't agree with the majority is not really conducive to the free expression of thought. The invitation may not come from the Staff -- and it certainly hasn't in this case -- but it is counter to the aims of the forum as the owner himself has laid out in this very thread.

See, here's the thing Thump - Brewer's got every right to speak his mind about it as well. Posters here don't need to subscribe to the staff's ideals in the matter either, they're free to speak their mind how they so choose.

Of course. But that doesn't mean they get a free pass on critique, and that's what I gave him: fair, polite, and succinct critique.

Where's the problem here?

It's to make them feel better over their own resentments if they can push the Old Ultra brutal to the other side. So as not having to run for the nearest mirror.

Perhaps, but there are plenty of other things he clearly says to agitate people, like how he conveniently started arguing cultural relativism in order to argue over rape, or how he admitted that he called people bigots just to provoke them. He gets off on it, and if he doesn't fall under the "no trolling" rule, it's useless IMO.

In fact, I'll bet if he reads this thread or sees how he has stirred the pot, he'll have to go jerk off.
