It's not my place, the community owns it and the community moderates it. I don't get veto power over anything.

If the community agree with you, then I'd expect to see more of that agreement being voiced, but quite honestly I don't see that. I see a minority trying to pressure staff into banning "undesirables".

Can I speak on behalf of Dripshit?  I doubt anyone is harder on him than I am.  Still, he serves a purpose.  He's like an annoying little dog you want to kick in the ass.

Sure, I "own" it in the sense that my name is tied to the domain and the hosting, donations come to an account I control, and I pay for everything out of that account.

However this forum has always been run by staff as a democracy, with each staff member voting on whether or not rule violations occur. The staff come from the community, they aren't hand picked by me. I get a vote the same as every other staff member. I don't surround myself with "yes" men. I've been outvoted countless times.

This whole "Tib owns the forum and he's basically some secret dictator and he calls all the shots" argument comes up every time someone disagrees with how we do things, and quite honestly I'm tired of it.

Yes, it is. I argued against him myself and voted against his choice on several occasions. All staff does because they can and he never, ever makes staff feel like his opinion is more important. It doesn't matter if you believe us. The truth is the truth no matter what any malcontent believes.
