The Trash People-speak is irksome to me. Why would this sizable group of people's use of language devolve to that degree in such a short period of time, even under such trying circumstances? I'm assuming only 3-4 years are to have passed (on the show) since the world fell away. Everyone else is still capable of constructing basic sentences.
"Me sell pills to medicine men before dead walk. And, she teach young write words with stick...Ooga booga!" Hadn't watched much since February. Maybe I missed something.
Reality and fiction. I know people like zombies, but if we are going there, why not skeletons eith swords and shields?
Skeletons > zombies. (April 9, 2017 at 9:18 am)Thena323 Wrote: The Trash People-speak is irksome to me. However, when Jadis first spoke I thought she was Quebecois. How she got to Georgia is the question.

Spoiler, zombies don't exist. HE HE HE, aint I a stinker?
I once pulled a joke on my college student adviser. It was the time when the Leonardo Titanic was out in the theaters and she had not seen it yet. I don't remember how we got on the movie, but she said "Don't spoil it for me, I haven't seen it yet". I said "The boat sank"....... I kid you not, her response was "Why did you tell me that?" Really lady? I like you but really? There was a I time when I would have been into horror but I dunno, I guess I outgrew it. I used to be a huge fan of the Friday The 13th movies. But after the 4th one they started sucking really bad. "Freddy vs Jason" "Jason Takes Manhattan". I get why people would be into this show though, cant say I wasn't into horror as a teen. I was. I got into the show hanging out with my brother. He has all the channels. Just some light hearted fun. I had to binge watch the first five seasons.

My dad was a daytime soap opera fan, when I was a kid. Everyone has their flavor of escapism, me well see avatar. Having said that though, there unfortunately are deluded nuts who will watch si fi and horror and shows and movies depicting the super natural and while accepting the show itself as fantasy still believe that crap and say "how do you know they aren't real". I hated the X-Files for that very reason because I had friends at the time who would watch it and say "how would you know that is not true". Some movies do bother the shit out of me, like "Paranormal Craptivity" or movies about Jesus. But no, as long as you really do accept it is just entertainment, then sure, have fun.
