Ideally seeing both is best if you are a person of faith and spirituality is intertwined with your mental health.
Well, for you it's dependent on the situation, which, to stress it again, I understand completely. Which is also why I said, that I don't agree with blanket statements as in the OP. For me there's no such situation. If I need some counseling a priest would be the last person to turn to. Not because of any resentment but because I'm not tied to any religion or religious advice.

Asked twice, not answered. I'm done.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Some internet meme or - worse - being an asshole to someone who's picture you photoshopped in a very diletantic way?

Well, he's got my attention. Not sure if that is a good thing. I am the kind of person that is better distracted, not focused.

@ abaris I think it's relevant to the conversation because it shows the effect of priest parasitism on the human brain and mouth

Yeah, I can understand that of course.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
