No.. Secretary..lol..I've always been obsessed with him. He was a genius! Way ahead of his time! And though he had deficiencies (most geniuses do) he loved humanity.

John Harington - inventor of the flush toilet.
Where would we be without him?

Joan of Arc and Francis of Assisi are my 2 favorite saints and historical figures.
Francis for his love of animals and extremely humble nature, and Joan of Arc for being a BA woman who kicked butt.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I don't admire anyone but I can like what well known people done.
I think there are a difference between people and what they done.
What you are isn't what you do and make even if what you are can influence and vice versa.

I can understand the Assisi part, but what's so admirable about a figure fighting a war? The other side called to the same god for support. One could even argue that they were more successful in their calling, since in the end they got her.
It was a defensive war on the French side. She fought to save her people and to end the war that had been going on for many years and taken many innocent lives. I also like that she was a woman during times where women weren't allowed to go to war, much less to be put in a position of power over other soldiers. They did get her in the end and burned her at the stake, but she played a major role in the war coming to an end.
