We got Settlers of Catan for Christmas. I can't wait to open it and give it a shot. Tibby had fun playing it on the XBox (I think), so I caved and bought the overpriced real thing.

Yeah, I like to micromanage my games to a certain extent. But that's the reason why I never used hardcore mode in FNV. Drinking, eating, drinking, sleeping, fine by me - although it stands to reason that you should carry your own sleeping bag in games like that instead of having to look for a stationary bed. But when it comes to ammo weight, I draw the line.

I wouldn't mind a mod that relaxes the ammo weight issue but mods also disable achievements so nope.

The real Settlers of Catan is fun with many people playing; the trading is the best part. I bought a single player version for the PS3 to show my wife and it killed any enthusiasm she could muster for the game. I told her it was way more fun with real people but she wouldn't have it.

Bummer. :Sad can't wait to give it a try. I'll just have to avoid the single player game until then.

Achievements are disabled anyway, since I'm running a shitload of mods. Never cared much for them in any of my games, since they don't provide any ingame assets. Just something shiny to look at.
