I always love it when the rightwingers come up with one isolated incidence or take their information from Breitbart or any other internet diarrhea like it and present it as fact.

What min posts are alleged incidents. I may be wrong, but he never claimed the to be 100 percent right. But you're quoting someone saying if only half of them happened. And I'd put my money on half of them really happening, since the maggots have crawled out under the stones. It doesn't matter if Trump actually wanted something like that to happen, but he certainly encouraged shitstains like that to feel secure in their bigotry. His whole campaign was nothing but hatred, exclusion and resentment.

I don't think that would be staged... it's clear he actually got the shit kicked out of him, we just have to take his word for it that the beating was fueled by anti-gay pro-Trump rhetoric.

There's also a report of 'Sieg Heil 2016' being spray painted on a Philadelphia department store and outlets like the NYTimes are attributing this to Trump supporters. I think it's more reasonable to conclude that this is a form of protest of Trump's election.

These instances are sad. Neither side of the political spectrum can control the behavior of its fringe members. Further saddening is the ease with which more reasonable people on both sides use these examples to demagogue the other and conclude that this is representative of all members of the 'other' party. Nothing will be accomplished as long as everyone stays in their trenches assuming the other is measured by the actions of their cranks. Reasonable members of both sides should recognize this from both ends, marginalize its impact in the broader discussion and get on with the tough work ahead. This applies regardless of the election outcome and is perhaps more critical understanding the result we did get.
