I have seen so many families ripped about by varied substances alcohol is still biggie especially among the natives on the reserves but I tell you it's this fentanyl stuff that scares the hell out of me 15 cases in my department in the last 2 weeks and I feel it's only going to get worst

Good case for naloxone prefilled syringes or intra nasal for public access.

It's good idea I hope goes through because this is a problem that needs a innovative solution

It's out there in most states, just not publicized. Unfortunately the price is somewhat prohibitive. But then compare that to a life.

Indeed costs are high but letting this problem get  more out of hand will cost us far more the public needs to know this stuff to minimize the damage

May it be known that antagonists must be taken with the person consent to do so and warn the person of the danger of using under antagonist effect. My mom in all her good intentions slipped Naltrexone on my food. It brought me down to a feverish withdrawal (imagine falling to hell) and made me want to use so I did. It landed me on the hospital nearly on OD.

bold mine

If the OD person is not conscious or is unable to respond I don't think that applies.

Your mom appears to have just been misguided.

Yes. A friend of her, whose son used did that and told my mom that he got sick a bit and didn't use heroin again. I know the guy, he never used heroin again. Alcohol, instead.

I have talked to him, given that its getting to his liver. He told me it was none of my business and to fuck off. Well, you have to Want to stop.
