Bomb the Music Industry!

This past year, my friend introduced me to a really great band known as Bomb the Music Industry!. They're a great punk-rock band with an amazing message to get out there, and I've found that they have had an enormous impact on my life. Their site can be found here:

The greatest part about BTMI? They distribute all of their music online, for free, through frontman Jeff Rosenstock's donation-based record company Quote Unquote Records. It's a great way of getting music that wouldn't ordinarily be heard on such a wide scale distirbuted internationally, and they support a lot of other great bands, too.

You may not find their music to be anything jaw-dropping or epic, but they have inspired so many already, and are on the fast-track to becoming widely popular for their simple message and amazing ideas about music. They've even scrounged up a bunch of money to make their own documentary about the punk-rock scene right now!

I thought that spreading the message a little bit would be in the spirit of what they are doing, and hopefulyl some of you will com eto enjoy their music. If not, then you at least have to respect the concept of freely distributed music; it's a great way to get heard!

That and they put on one hell of a show, the whole crowd smelled like beer and Jeff sweat by the end of the thrashing.
