I watched just about all the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo launches. John Glenn was one of the first astronauts, if not the first, whose name I knew.

I can't say I was sad, exactly, when I heard the news. The man lived a longer, richer life than most of us can wish for, and his accomplishments speak for themselves. Min got it exactly right.

RIP, John Glenn. You earned it.
