Stercobilin, a bile pigment. If you have a condition that prevents bilirubin (sort of the parent chemical of stercobilin) from reaching the small intentine, your poo will be sort of a yellowish colour.

When I had the bad e coli (both times) my poop was almost white.
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

my liver was shutting down. Whites of my eyes (and most everything else on me) turned orange.

Till I had the West Nile it was the sickest I had been as an adult

E coli has evolved a new method to resist antibiotics. It produces an enzyme called extended spectrum beta-lactamase which breaks down the antibiotic. The war on microbes is escalating.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
