Heated debate on evolution with brother
RE: Heated debate on evolution with brother
Where are the fossils?

Someone actually said that with a straight face?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

This is what happened: God created the Cambrian animals in the greatest possible diversity at the greatest possible abundance levels at the earliest time permitted in the history of the universe (earlier human beings and human civilization would be impossible).

Thus, elucidating the materialistic basis of the Cambrian explosion has become more elusive, not less, the more we know about the event itself, and cannot be explained away by coupling extinction of intermediates with long stretches of geologic time, despite the contrary claims of some modern neo-Darwinists…   Kevin Peterson et al. Darwin knew he didn’t have the fossils, but he assumed it would be just a matter of time before they were unearthed (1859 –present, no fossil. Damn, where are they?)

Well firstly fossilisation is something that only happens rarely, we are lucky indeed to have the supply of fossils that we do.

What you are suggesting is the for seven eighths of the earths history there was no life then, poof suddenly complex life, therefore god.

This is irrelevant because life has been discovered to have existed at least 4.2 billion years ago.

And the Cambrian was relatively recent 551 million years ago. Plenty of time for complex life to develop.

Yep, you saw it here first. Creationism leads to brain damage.

Not to mention soft fossils are even rarer and indeed we should be grateful we have any fossils at all . And as for snow tracks slander of Darwin  he explains in his own freaking (clearly he's  never read it ) why fossil would be few via geology .

Hey atheist, if one of own doesn't even know the posting is not about the origin-of-life 4 billion years ago; it's all right to correct another atheist by telling them to at least get in the right ball park.

Poor Darwin he's been slander by his own words. Well, read and wept for yourself.
To the question why we do not find rich fossiliferous deposits belonging to these assumed earliest periods prior to the Cambrian system, I can give no satisfactory answer.

I have my Siri bullshit translator handy, "Ignore the fact that my "god of the gaps" argument does not explain anything, be it about the origin of life or the universe".

Hate to burst your bubble Snowy, but God/god/diety/super natural doesn't fill in any gaps, be it about the origins of life or the universe. It only demonstrates humans like believing those things.
