Schleicher made it on the kill list of 1934 since there were accounts to be settled. He never was a friend.

No. His intrigues of that period were firstly to get Strasser and his group to break away from the Nazis and support him. When that failed he tried to convince Hindenburg to declare a state of emergency, dissolve the Reichstag and become dictator, which Hindenberg refused. At that he resigned.
