I was in CostCo this morning and looked over the bacon, after seeing this thread. I want some bacon with more meat than fat. I found a package of Farmer John's that was that way a few weeks ago (but not since) and it was really good. Anyone have a recommendation for a more meaty than fatty bacon (without resorting to turkey bacon Sad  )? I eat maybe 4 slices a month, because I'm trying to keep my saturated fat intake down.

If you go for bacon, eat real bacon. Simply eliminate one out of two bacon meals if you want to reduce fat Smile

You might be able to find packs of 'medallions' but for my money most of the flavour is in the fat.

I have heard a theory that pig meat is very similar to human meat and that the ban on eating pig is something to do with cannibalism. Not sure if it holds up to scrutiny but that is one theory.
