So apparently some dyslexic people really like comic sans font. They have an easier time reading because each character is made up of unique shapes. 'p's and 'q's in comic sans aren't merely mirrored for instance like they are in print style fonts. If comic sans helps you read then I say great but is hate of comic sans really ableist?

Erm..I agree that this is idiotic to the nth degree...but it's literally just one person complaining in an opinion piece on a blog site. If we dug up every moronic thought that individuals have typed on the internet, we'd be here for eternity.

Anyone who hates Sans must have issues. He's a cool guy. Makes jokes. Plays pranks. Has a cool brother. Will roflstomp you if you kill everyone. What's not to like?

I'm not big on Comic Sans, or these recent thick handwriting-style fonts that seem to be all over the place now. Just too much. I don't care if they're ADA-kosher or not.

ETA: Apparently I am thinking of Debby and King Basil in particular.

Ableist? Bullshit. My dislike of comic sans has nothing to do with dyslexic people. Fonts have their purposes and comic sans is used in all the wrong places regularly. Jokerman is almost as bad. If dyslexic people want to complain, there have been far better fonts created specifically for them that work better than comic sans.

Yes, I am a font snob and I'm proud of it.
