Yeah it's a beer commercial, sue me. It's the soundtrack, a haunting and familiar tune. Took me a while to realize where I'd heard it before. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
A song that I dodge.
The song is about two lovers, sung by the lady. The guy went off, left, the woman tells him to remember Translating: "Remember the last time I saw you? Do you remember the last word you said? I didn't see you anymore But now I saw you How are you? " She thought he was out of the country. But he has children, he never left the country as it seems. He just went with another. This just the intro of the lyrics, but like whatever. The part I translated I mean. The song is Lebanese. Lebanese people sing better than Egyptians, too bad Egypt is recognized more. As bitter as it makes me, I never cared about Arabic music, only three or two. Now, songs like this are worth my time: Every minute of it. Daughter, are just fantastic when it comes to to emotional beating on the strings.
Fairuz isn't lacking recognition though. She's THE goddess of song.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I mean many from the Levant gave me headaches about listening to her in the morning while having a warm cup of tea >< I can never digest that ! it's like فيروز عالصبح يا زلمة مع كباية الشاي :/ But I agree she's a talent. One hell of a talent. RE: Music that has a strange emotional impact on you

I feel weirdly nostalgic when I hear this song. I had a theory that I heard this when I was about 3 when this song came out and it stuck in my subconsious or something. It sounded so familiar to me when I heard it in my late teens but I also had no clear memory of hearing it before. It could be something like that or it's just that it sounds really 80s and I'm reading into it too deeply. There's a whole load of music that I use when I go to the gym, the music causes me to get a cold shiver even when I'm hot and sweating and I get a rush of energy. Some examples are Pantera - cemetary gates, Placebo - every me, HIM - burried alive by love, Roy Jones - can't be touched. The only problem with that affect is that I become immune to the songs the way you'd become immune to a drug. If I hear it too much too often it loses it's affect. Another one that's ultra nostalgic to me is this but in a more clear way because I used to play the computer game in secondary school. There's obviously a lot of music that's nostalgic to me but this is just special because I still like it, and it gives me a jault if I hear it by surprise. My friend said this song is like my "witchy woman" song (sienfeld reference) because he saw my facial expression once when this song came on and I wasn't expecting it. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason.

but only when I was tripping hard... The light show Tommy put on with an empty Heineken bottle and flashlight probably contributed too.
