As someone who has studied ciphers, that's actually a terrible thing for a cipher to have. Who said this was a cipher though?

No I don't mean... one character to one character... I mean one unit to one unit... and only if it's two way... ie because otherwise it can't be uniquely reversed. But it was only a joke 
And it was just me treating it as a cipher... trying to find x=y etc. Didn't mean it was one... as I said, just a joke.

It is...but twice now I was on the brink of getting it when someone else just waltzed in and took it from me lol
