I don't recall with crystal clarity the details, but President Carter fucked the West Germans (of his era) over some missile deployment scheme I'm thinking quite similarly in ultimate effects to Trump's attempt at cutting the South Koreans off at the knees.
(for you young whippersnappers here, negatively comparing a 'pub prez to Carter is fucking astonishing)

He advocated a relatively non-interventionist policy before and during his campaign, then he did a u-turn once in power and now he is trying to piss off one of the United State's closest allies. What exactly does he hope to achieve?

Giving the man the benefit of the doubt as a "decision maker" is just wrong.
Why ignore the reality of the long hierarchy decisions tend to move through before reaching announcement?
Before these decisions are ever made, they went through a long path of processing and creation.
Trump is just a trumpet of the owners of these hierarchies. He reads what he gets on the schedule of what to do today; one schedule that is made specifically to benefit certain heads and certain powers. The cake for Trump is nothing but fame and more dollars into his guts.
Even Kim Jong Un might be a trumpet, the guys at Seoul are trumpets too.

As a former McDonald's mop jockey, I take offence at being placed in the same playing field as that walking nuclear meltdown of a human being.
Oh, don't worry, I know quite a few clever people who used Maccy D's to supplement their college drinking. Just because the job's simple doesn't mean the people doing it are too.
