I have never read the book, any book of his to be honest, by Neil Gaiman.
The first episode did not quite interest me, but I will watch an episode or two more before making a formal decision in regard to scrapping the show.

I watched the trailer. Looks a little gruesome but I would watch a few episodes to see how it goes.

I read the book, looking forward to hearing how the show was.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
I watched the first episode, but I couldn't really get into it.
I don't believe you. Get over it.
Yeah, I thought this was gonna be about Santa and Jesus. But no. Instead we get Thor, Mars and whatnot coming at each-other. Well, what are gods to do but fight.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Anyway, I watched it and thought it was great. I'll be watching this one for sure. Great sex scene. :-) (May 2, 2017 at 2:02 am)Little lunch Wrote: There are two threads on this subject. GoT does it better, but I did like the gore, and "technology" as well. But I am still confused with the cgi, are they trying to be comedic or serious? The first viking bit was damn hilarious though... Oh and if someone told me that planes fly through faith of the passengers, I'd definitely have demanded an immediate seat change... A little of both, honestly. The imagery is over the top, and very, very Gaiman-ish. He's got a very twisted, very dark sense of humor that plays through everything he's written except those books he's written for the very young. If you haven't read the book, I would recommend it as this has the potential to be among the best (if not the best) screen adaptations of written works ever.

The sex scene did not bother me. Despite being gay, it was probably the only intriguing part of the entire episode that dealt with ancient gods I liked.
Otherwise, the rest just bored me.
