I got the camera with an AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II. I already had an AF-S Zoom Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8D ED-IF and an AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED that went with my old D70.

Looks full of promise. I have a new project too. I wanted to create some raised area in the meadow. So I brought in a half a yard of good soil, 800 pounds of rock and a couple dozen plants. The sticks are there to ward off the dogs.




The Geranium maderense I planted last year are blooming along the pond. The color doesn't really belong but hell, it is a spectacle.

Yeah, I'm jealous of his garden. It'll be some years before I have a yard (and money) enough to do something like that...

I'd settle for a south facing condo at this point, though! My east facing one is going to be a challenge!

Me and my little man about 2 years ago. I just got back from an 8 month deployment. As soon as I got home, I went to Texas to pick him up from my parents where he had been staying. I'll never forget how much he'd changed and how great it was to finally see him again. Not easy being a single Dad in the Military, but I'm grateful for a wonderful family.

Thanks. Not to mention summers off as a teacher so loads of time to sink into it.

Oh, and age. Twenty years in, there has been time for things to grow up and weave through each other. That isn't anything to be in a hurry for but it is something to look forward to.
