I work with F-18s, and it just means that I had to read a lot of stuff that wasn't required of me, and learn a bunch of crap that didn't directly affect my ability to do my job. I answered the questions, passed the test, and got a pin to show for it. That picture was taken at the end of my last deployment, about 2 years ago. I was a PO2 in that pic PO1 now. AO1(AW). I'm currently an F-18 weapons systems instructor in VA Beach.

An old and dear friend's son just got winged at NAS Kingsville a couple of weeks ago. He will be in an F-18 shortly. I've spent a lot of time for the last 13 months sitting across from the runway at NAS Corpus Christi, but I'm here working an Army project.

I'd like to get orders there (TX), but it's not too likely. They don't have any sea-going squadrons there. There's a good chance your friend's son will come through the school-house I teach at. There's only 2, and all Navy pilots that fly pointy nose aircraft are required to come through one or the other. Either the one I'm at or the one in Lemoore, CA.
