I've just recently found one in my area. I became a member through an online "application" last week, and am really excited about going to meet them. I know none of you guys will be there, but for some reason, that's still how I imagine it! lol

A few from our DC trip.
At the Ren-Faire:
This guy, I tried to get him to help me level up my smithing skills, but I guess I didn't have enough septims.
This dude was just plain awesome.
And this is my ace-in-the-hole photo. It's a non-posed, completely spontaneous snap that I was lucky enough to get with the help of a friend who swiveled me around just as this dude picked this hat up off a stand.
This is what pure joy looks like. I call it "Jayne-mail."

I love the hat one woulda loved going with you actually.. though I'd end up with way different pictures. I have a habit of taking inanimate object pics for some reason that I'm trying to break

Well, you've seen that I usually do botanicals. I don't like doing people for the most part because they always want to pose themselves or don't trust me to take good photos. I like getting spontaneous shots, and for that, comic-cons and Ren-Faires are FANTASTIC. People are ready to be photographed, and they're happy and enjoying things that get them off.
I had been in a photography rut for a while and inanimate objects weren't cutting it, despite trying desperately to do more abstract things. That Jayne-hat photo just sparked something and BOOM, I feel it again. I haven't had the time to go out, but the need to photograph things is back.
