I've just recently found one in my area. I became a member through an online "application" last week, and am really excited about going to meet them. I know none of you guys will be there, but for some reason, that's still how I imagine it! lol

The core group that was at the bar last time together is actually extremely diverse in every way. We all have our quirks and we're open about them to each other. I really enjoy everybody's company. I'm going to miss the group you started Ivy. A cool bunch of heathens.

At the Ren-Faire:

This guy, I tried to get him to help me level up my smithing skills, but I guess I didn't have enough septims.

And this is my ace-in-the-hole photo. It's a non-posed, completely spontaneous snap that I was lucky enough to get with the help of a friend who swiveled me around just as this dude picked this hat up off a stand.

This is what pure joy looks like. I call it "Jayne-mail."


For the price of a dollar stuffed in his garter, instead of giving me a smooch like all the other girls, he gave me a several pose long photo session that I haven't even finished editing yet. (I've been photographing this dude every year at the faire. [swoon])

Well, you've seen that I usually do botanicals. I don't like doing people for the most part because they always want to pose themselves or don't trust me to take good photos. I like getting spontaneous shots, and for that, comic-cons and Ren-Faires are FANTASTIC. People are ready to be photographed, and they're happy and enjoying things that get them off.

I had been in a photography rut for a while and inanimate objects weren't cutting it, despite trying desperately to do more abstract things. That Jayne-hat photo just sparked something and BOOM, I feel it again. I haven't had the time to go out, but the need to photograph things is back.
